Congratulations on your engagement!
We want to do everything that we possibly can to make your day the best day of your life. We will walk with you every step of the way to customize your wedding day and to give you the church wedding of your dreams.
Weddings are celebrated in the beautiful upper church on Saturdays from 10:00am until 3:00pm. You may also wish to see our lower church as well. Weddings may be scheduled on Fridays at any time or on Sunday Afternoons. Weddings are also sometimes requested during the week Monday to Thursday, which of course we can accommodate. We will work with you to find a perfect time.
You do NOT have to be a member of this parish to get married in this Church. All are welcome to have their special day here at Resurrection Church. Many couples choose to come here because of our reputation, sometimes because they came here for another wedding, they have seen our reviews online and on certain wedding websites, because we are conveniently located 20 minutes from New Jersey and Center City Venues, or they just want a picture perfect wedding and our church is one of the most beautiful inside and out.
The Archdiocese of Philadelphia requires a preparation period before the celebration of marriage: you should contact the office or Father Jim a few months prior to your intended wedding date. We do fill up very fast with our wedding dates because we are in demand. But please, we will work with you.
Engaged couples are invited to participate in a Pre-Cana program of marriage preparation. This can be done in the parish or through programs sponsored by the archdiocesan Family Life Office. More information is available from the priest preparing you for marriage. Sometimes this is not possible because of scheduling. Again, we will work with you.
You are also invited to have your own priest, who is a family member or friend, celebrate your wedding here at the parish.

Now we are excited to offer an event space in our new banquet hall called The Life Center at Resurrection. This beautiful designed space is elegant enough to hold your wedding reception. It accommodates up to 180 guests seated at round tables. It is located directly below the upper church. We are happy to partner with Annemarie’s Cuisine as our exclusive onsite caterer. Click Here to discover more about renting The Life Center for your wedding day. Some couples also use The Life Center as an in-between venue. Their guests enjoy a small cocktail reception/happy hour while waiting for the “in-between” time from the wedding ceremony until the reception time. There is usually a two hour window where the bridal party goes and takes pictures and the guests can relax for a bit downstairs in the hall before heading over to the main wedding reception venue.
